Glyphosate resistance in junglerice (<i>Echinochloa colona</i>) and alternative herbicide options for its effective control

چکیده
Abstract Control of glyphosate-resistant (GR) junglerice is a challenging task in eastern Australia. There limited information on the efficacy and reliability alternate herbicides for GR populations junglerice, especially when targeting large plants temperatures are high. A series experiments were conducted to confirm level glyphosate resistance three evaluate control populations. The LD 50 B17/7, B17/34, B17/35 was found be 298, 2,260, 1,715 g ae ha –1 , respectively, suggesting that B17/34 highly resistant glyphosate. Glyphosate reduced at high-temperature (35 C day/25 night) compared with low-temperature conditions (25 day/15 night), susceptible may also if sprayed under hot conditions. Preemergence dimethenamid-P (1,000 ai ) pendimethalin (1,500 provided 100% (B17/34 17/35). Postemergence herbicides, such as clethodim (60 or 90 ), glufosinate (750 haloxyfop (52 78 paraquat (400 600 applied four-leaf stage For larger (eight-leaf stage), postemergence applications greater weed than clethodim, glufosinate, haloxyfop. mixture either poor application alone. Efficacy decreased sequential spray after application. This study identified alternative herbicide options can used rotation programs sustainable management.

Glyphosate and herbicide resistant plants
There is a common understanding that commercially traded formulations of glyphosate, such as Roundup, can be more toxic than glyphosate alone. Therefore, the EU has already taken measures to remove problematic additives known as POE tallowamine from the market. However, imports of genetically engineered plants resistant to glyphosate are exposed to high dosages of the herbicide in countries whe...

A study was carried out over 2 years (2008/2009 and 2009/2010) in Greece, in order to evaluate the weed control using reduced rates of the herbicide mesosulfuron-methyl+iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium of four major weeds (Avena sterilis, Phalaris minor, Papaver rhoeas and Sinapis arvensis), grain yield and yield components of five wheat cultivars (Bob, Cosmodur, Meridiano, Quadrato and Simeto). The ...

The toxic effect of herbicides on non- target microorganisms may influence degradation of organic matter resulting in changes to nutrient cycling. In the present study, different strains of bacteria incubated in media containing different concentrations of glyphosate and paraquat were assessed over a period of two incubation terms. The deleterious impact of the herbicide was observed as glyphos...
متن کاملGlyphosate: a once-in-a-century herbicide.
Since its commercial introduction in 1974, glyphosate [N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine] has become the dominant herbicide worldwide. There are several reasons for its success. Glyphosate is a highly effective broad-spectrum herbicide, yet it is very toxicologically and environmentally safe. Glyphosate translocates well, and its action is slow enough to take advantage of this. Glyphosate is the only ...
